2 Corinthians 8:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
8 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
2 Corinthians 8:1-3 English Standard Version (ESV)
Encouragement to Give Generously
8 We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord,

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 Grace, we need and should know about His grace. His grace is what saves us by our faith in Him. We need to share His message of loving grace called the gospel.
2 Troubles are a part of life. Christians often face new challenges that this world doesn’t face but we have the Lord along side us to help and lead us. We can have joy even in the hardest of situations because we have that fellowship with Him. We may not be rich in money, the way the world sees it, but we are very rich because we are the children of the King.
3 This church gave all they could. Do we give our everything? They did what they could to give above what was even needed; I think this is the attitude of giving the Lord intended the church to have.
