2 Corinthians 5:20-21
KJV 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
DouayRheims 20 For Christ therefore we are ambassadors, God as it were exhorting by us, for Christ, we beseech you, be reconciled to God.21 Him, who knew no sin, he hath made sin for us: that we might be made the justice of God in him. Sin for us... That is, to be a sin offering, a victim for sin.
ACV 20 We are therefore, ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were calling through us. We plead on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For the man who knew no sin was made sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
20 Jesus stands before God claiming us as His and we are to stand in the world proclaiming Christ. We are to keep seeking God never stop letting Him lead always turn back to God when we fall and let Him continue to lead the Way for us.
21 Jesus came to bear our sins and die because Jesus was perfect he did not have to die like we do, we die as a result of sin but Jesus being perfect did not have to die and being God He is life and He paid the debt for us that we could live forever with Him in glory.
