Isaiah 1:11-13 King James Version (KJV)
11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith theLORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Isaiah 1:11-13
ACV 11 What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says LORD. I have had enough of the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts. And I do not delight in the blood of bullocks or of lambs or of he-goats. 12 When ye come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand--to trample my courts? 13 Bring no more vain oblations. Incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath, the calling of assemblies--I cannot bear iniquity and the solemn meeting.

11 God wants our heart to pour out in service to Him, the sacrifices meant nothing if their heats were not in it. They gave sacrifices but lived for the flesh lived in sin and had corrupt hearts we can do what we should but if our hearts are for sin then the things we do are no matter to the Lord because He does not have our heart, He wants our heart and the actions always follow.
12 They were simply going thru the motions; going thru the motions is not the same as having a relationship with the Lord.
13 The gifts were meaningless because they were not giving them for praise of the Lord but mainly were seeking men’s praise. We can not live lives of sin and then give praise to the Lord and expect to be made whole but we are to stop living for sin and start living for Him. They were meeting only because it was a time they met not as an act of worship. Often times we can go to church simply because it is what we do and is what is expected from us, rather then have our hearts into every time we meet in His name.
