Philippians 4:15-17King James Version (KJV)
15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
Philippians 4:15-17Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)
15 And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only: 16 For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
15 Paul would make money to travel by selling tents. They knew the work he was doing needed to be done and gave so he could keep doing it. There are those out there that help us are they will be in a special place in our hearts as they were to Paul.
16 They helped him more than once they became someone he could count on, the Lord will bless us with people who are there when we need them most.
17 Paul wanted them to be blessed because of how they blessed him, we are to be like this with those who help to us, not just take from them but hope that the Lord blesses them because He used them to bless you.
